How about connecting places to visit on a family trip using boxes and arrows, or drawing the sequence of tasks to explain to a colleague? Even before beautifying the drawing, just checking if the other person understands the sequence can help gauge its usefulness. Automatic saving happens in the browser you're using, so it's a good idea to export your work as a .excalidraw file if you plan to continue drawing on another device later.
