- Google teased the launch for next Monday by posting a photo of the device's side and the phrase '10.12.26' on X. Google is the announcing party. - Leaks suggest it may include a 1.34-inch always-on OLED touchscreen, built-in GPS, an accelerometer, a barometer, an altimeter, and a gyroscope. Dealabs and Android Headlines reported this, and Google has not confirmed it. - There are rumors it may include an optical sensor for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, and an electrical sensor for ECG. According to Dealabs, it may also offer features that alert users to atrial fibrillation and irregular heart rhythms. - Rumors say it may last up to 7 days on a replaceable lithium-ion battery, and an estimate put the US launch price at about 180. The release date of October 12 is what Google itself announced, but the price of 180 and the 7-day battery come from leak reports, so they may change at the announcement. The fact that the battery is replaceable is worth checking for anyone who has worried about charging cycles. The article does not say under what conditions the atrial fibrillation alert sounds, so I would like to read the manual after launch first.
