- Ultrahuman signed a 2-year memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi's public health center to develop and validate a model that estimates how fast a person is aging, combining wearable device data with clinical indicators such as blood tests. - According to the company, the model is designed to accept data not only from its ring but also from wrist devices, straps, and patches. Later, individuals plan to view their health age through the government health platforms TAMM and Sahatna, but the company did not say when it would expand nationwide. - CEO Mohit Kumar said the model will not be retrained on UAE data. Instead, an algorithm built on existing data will be applied to UAE data. He also said the program will not give Ultrahuman access to personally identifiable information, but this is the company's own statement.

The first thing that catches my eye is that Abu Dhabi's health authority signed a deal with Oura in May too. Two ring companies splitting public data in the same city is an interesting setup. Ultrahuman says its model was built on its own existing data rather than UAE data, so I'm curious where the adjustments for local users will happen. Designing it to accept data from wrist devices and patches means it isn't limited to one device type, but the article doesn't explain how values from different devices get aligned to the same standard.
