Summary / Read source ↗

- Google Pixel Buds 2A and Pro 2 earbuds support a sleep detection feature linked to the Pixel Watch that pauses music and blocks notifications and touch controls when the user falls asleep. - Both models added a feature to mute or unmute the microphone during calls with a single tap and a one-touch activation for real-time translation. - Gemini voice commands allow voice adjustments for noise cancelling, EQ, and touch controls, while Pro 2 includes dynamic ANC that adapts ANC and audio to ear fit. - The update draft included the 1 generation Pixel Buds Pro for these features, but Google removed it from the official guide, so 1 generation support is unconfirmed.

I'm curious about how accurately the feature that detects the user's sleep through earbuds connected with the Pixel Watch works in real life, automatically stopping music and blocking notifications. It's especially important to see how this sleep detection function distinguishes between the wearer's movements and environmental noise, and whether there is a risk of malfunction. The voice command and one-touch translation features also seem like they could really enhance the convenience of the call experience.
