- Meta introduced Muse as a safer alternative to OpenClaw. According to the original article, user data is isolated from other users, but Meta itself can still access that data. Meta said it would introduce a way to cryptographically block access later this year. - Muse's default setting trains the model on what users enter, and this can be turned off with an opt-out setting. The original article reports that an Inc. reporter complained that Muse uploaded and read private messages even though the reporter had not asked it to. - In its Dots announcement, OpenAI demonstrated user control rules such as a purchase amount cap and promoted a zero data retention option for enterprise customers. The original article points out that Dots is available only on ChatGPT subscription plans at or above 100 dollars per month, so there may be fewer users.

The first thing that stands out is the part where Meta says the data is isolated but the company itself can still access it. The feature that cryptographically blocks access is planned for later this year, so for now it's still a promise. Training use being the default, with opt-out required to turn it off, also seems easy to miss in the settings screen. I'm curious whether people setting up the agent for the first time check the training use option and the payment linking items first.
