- In Play Store v53.6, asking Ask Play about an app can return a summary drawn from real user reviews and quoted original text, according to the original article. - Google Wallet added a way to scan and add receipts, plus an in-app message center. Google Pay for Android in Chrome can skip the payment request screen if name, email, and phone number are provided, the article says. - Android WebView v156 adds a new API that can enable cross-origin isolation features such as SharedArrayBuffer, but only for trusted origins that developers have registered on an allowlist. This mainly affects app developers.

The article does not say how accurately the Ask Play summary conveys review quotes, so when choosing an app I think it is better to open several actual reviews and check them yourself rather than relying only on the summary. The allowlist API on the webview side requires developers to decide trusted sources themselves, so I wonder whether you have first considered which sources to include if you are developing an app.
