Editorial opinion startupxo

One particularly interesting point in the Zig 0.17.0 release is that incremental compilation is supported thanks to improvements in the ELF linker on x86_64-linux. I'm curious about the actual impact this feature has on build time reduction and how it performs on other architectures, based on concrete user experience and performance metrics. Also, the changes @bitCast made to array and vector type handling are a bit delicate; it would be great to know which types of code are most vulnerable to issues.
